FOLLOW ME FRIDAY

A Mystery unwrapped.

A writer, who has become a favorite of mine, is Patricia Cornwell.Patricia Cornwell

Ms. Cornwell, has created, perhaps the most successful series of murder mysteries since the Agatha Christie novels of the 1930's.

Cornwell has created Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta, a determined medical examiner who with the aid of Detective Marino and Special Agent Benton Wesley, solves some of the most perplexing and emotional cases written.

Each book is a journey, not just another case file, but a journey of all the people in the books, from Kays' niece Lucy, who becomes an FBI agent, then a private detective, to the tense and emotional relationship with Benton Wesley, you are fly on the wall and observe the struggles and successes of people as real as you or your family.

Some may think this a review, yet I look at it as more an introduction of a series of books, by a author who deserves recognition and exposure.

These books are complex, thrilling and a pleasure to read, and you read them rapidly, then can hardly wait to pick up the next book.

If you are looking for something that will have you on the edge of your seat, and make time fly, then any of the books by Patricia Cornwell will do what a good book should, take you to a world that is exciting, real and one you want to return to, again and again.

Here is a link to the official Patricia Cornwell page, where you can find out about all the books in her series, including two cook books, written by her lead character Kay Scarpetta
